Principal's Message

Dear Park Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Park School! I hope that you are enjoying a fun-filled summer alongside loved ones. I personally thank you for choosing our school for your child's education and I am excited to see all our kiddos back amongst us in a few short weeks.

With a new school year often comes changes and this summer has been no different. Some came with fair warning, although nonetheless bittersweet, while others came as unexpected surprises. I would like to take a few moments to thank the various staff members that said goodbye to our school to take on new adventures. Amongst them are our Assistant Principal, Jennifer Alcala, teachers: Monica Saldivar, Laura Delamater, Karla Shayen, Rachel Borenstein, Trevor Jennings, Laurene Moses, and Riva Hon. While saying goodbye is always bittersweet, we wish them well and thank them for their years of service.

It is my pleasure to introduce new members of the Park Family. Tammy Lopez, our new Assistant Principal, comes to us from Ynez School. Also, joining our team, are teachers Sarah Casey, Monica Tan, Marizza Aguirre, Andrew Henken, and Imelda Tan.

As we enter this new school year, we remain focused on providing a welcoming and safe learning environment for each one of our students. At the same time, students will find a high level of support as we strive to prepare them with knowledge, skills, and a disposition to be life and future ready. Park staff work collaboratively to lay the foundation for learning and to nurture the development of a positive self-image, and appreciation and respect for cultural diversity, while demonstrating care and kindness for their self, family, school, community, and world.
