AUSD is proud to continue celebrating the exceptional contributions of its staff members through the Game Changers recognition program. Each month, we shine a spotlight on two individuals who go above and beyond to make a positive contribution to the lives of students, colleagues, and the broader community. We are excited to kick off our Park spirit wear sale! Spirit wear includes various styles of Park t-shirts, crew neck sweatshirts, and hoodies in black and navy blue, with two design choices.

Students will be able to wear their spirit wear any day of the week, in lieu of a uniform shirt.

Our ordering website closes on Sunday, August 25th. Orders are expected to be ready by Friday, September 13th.

If your child is a newly enrolled student, we invite you to join on Monday, August 12th at 3:00 p.m. for our new student orientation. We will provide you information for the first day of school and a school tour.

Join us for our Kindergarten Orientation on Monday, August 5th at 5:00 p.m in our Park School cafeteria.

If your child is already enrolled, sign up for a kindergarten pre-assessment appointment:

-Monday, August 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
-Tuesday, August 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

Our next Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting will be IN PERSON and held at the District Office on March 18th, 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. (Please note that this is a revised start time to what was shared in the last AUSD Connections Newsletter.) This meeting will be an interactive opportunity for you to provide input and feedback on the 2024-2024 LCAP Plan. Our Game Changer employee recognition program will continue in 2023-24!
CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to award a deserving AUSD employee a "Beyond the Call of Duty" or "Spotlight" badge. Game Changers are selected each month from these employees.

We invite the public to join us at our next Board Meeting, which is scheduled for August 27th. The meeting is held in the AUSD Board Room (1515 West Mission Road in Alhambra) and the public portion of the meeting will begin at 6:00pm. To watch the meeting via Zoom, please CLICK ON THE HEADLINE.

All members of the AUSD family are welcome to attend the Swearing-In Ceremony for the 2024-2025 Student Board Member Keiko Rakin (AHS junior) and Student Board Member Alternate Madison Kang (MKHS senior). The ceremony will take place at the beginning of the August 27th Board Meeting (6:00pm). At that meeting, the 12 students of the Student Advisory Council will be formally introduced to the public. Afterwards, the Board will take brief recess for a celebratory reception in the their honor.

At the August 27th Board of Education meeting, there will be two staff reports presented: (1) Bullying and Disciplinary Practices Overview and (2) Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) Plan Update. We welcome questions from community members on either of these report topics. These questions will be used as we finalize the presentation and to guide discussion by the board members. In partnership with the Alhambra & Monterey Park Police Department, we are happy to announce a School Safety Town Hall virtual meeting. Please plan on joining us on Thursday, August 8th at 6:00pm. CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to download a flyer with links to submit a question and to join the Town Hall.

The next AUSD Board of Education Meeting will be on Tuesday, August 6th. Please join us in person in the Alhambra USD Board Room (1515 W. Mission Road in Alhambra).
