Park Elementary is one of the 279 schools being recognized this year in our first annual report Top Los Angeles Public Schools for Underserved Students!

Park Elementary is one of the 279 schools being recognized this year in our first annual report Top Los Angeles Public Schools for Underserved Students in collaboration with the University of Southern California Sol Price Center for Social Innovation and Rossier School of Education Center for Education Policy, Equity and Governance. Park made the list based on its strong results in English and/or math proficiency for low-income African American and/or low-income Latino students in 2017-18. Our report will be released publicly at the end of April.
We believe in the incredible potential of every child. Across Los Angeles County, there are many schools that provide the type of education that gives students great life choices and pushes them to achieve their full potential. Unfortunately, those schools are too few and far between for low-income families.
We applaud Park for being one among few in the region that is getting closer to the goal of providing a quality education for all kids and we look forward to celebrating your team’s success at our annual convening of over 250 educators and parents who are beating the odds for students.
Park Elementary made it on the following Top Schools list(s):
Low-income Latino, English, elementary school
Low-income Latino, English, middle school
Low-income Latino, math, elementary school
Thank you for all you do to show it is possible to educate all students at high levels.
Onward,
